Are you getting ready to launch a new website? Setting up a Coming Soon page is the perfect way to let your audience know that something amazing is on its way! Not only does it build anticipation, but it gives you a chance to start connecting with your visitors from day one.
In this guide, I’ll walk you through creating a Coming Soon page using Gutenberg blocks from aBlocks, which makes the whole process easier.
So, without further ado, let’s start!
Why Should You Create a Coming Soon Page?
A Coming Soon page might seem like a small detail, but it packs a punch when it comes to setting up your website for success. Here’s why it’s worth putting in a bit of extra time:
Let’s show you an example for our upcoming aBlocks Pro Coming Soon Page!

Generate Curiosity and Excitement: A well-designed Coming Soon page gets visitors curious about what’s coming. It builds up excitement, making people more likely to check back or follow you for updates. Think of it as a teaser that keeps them intrigued!
Build Your Subscriber List Early: If you add an email signup form, you’re turning visitors into potential subscribers from day one. This way, when you’re ready to launch, you’ll already have a list of people eager to hear from you. This is perfect for promoting your first products or content.
Establish Brand Presence from the Start: Your Coming Soon page is an opportunity to showcase your brand’s look, tone, and vibe. By sharing a sneak peek of your design style and messaging, visitors get an early sense of your brand identity, which builds trust and familiarity before you even launch.
Capture Early Feedback: A Coming Soon page gives you a place to start sharing your vision with your audience, and it can even help you gather feedback. Add a quick form or social media links to see how people respond to your brand’s direction.
A Coming Soon page is a simple but effective way to connect with visitors and make sure they’re as excited about your launch as you are. It’s more than just a placeholder. It’s your first chance to make an impression!
Excited to make one like this? We will show you how you can easily create a coming soon page with Gutenberg blocks by aBlocks. No more wasting time and let’s get directly to it.
How to Set Up a Coming Soon Page with Gutenberg Blocks by aBlocks?
Before we get into the details, make sure you have the aBlocks plugin installed and activated.

aBlocks is a Gutenberg add-on that provides an array of blocks that’ll make this process simple and fun!
Step 1: Set Up Your Coming Soon Page
First things first, let’s set up a new page:
Go to Pages in your WordPress dashboard. Click Add New and give it a title like “Coming Soon” or something catchy that fits your brand vibe.

Once you set up your page, you are ready to use the Gutenberg blocks by aBlocks and create your coming soon page just the way you want.
Step 2: Start Designing with aBlocks
Now for the fun part. It’s time to bring your coming soon page to life with aBlocks. Here’s a breakdown of the blocks that’ll make your Coming Soon page pop:
Start with a Container Block
Think of the Container Block as the foundation of your page. This is where everything will come together.

After adding the container block, you can pick your required row/column options. I’m designing a basic Coming Soon page, so I’ve picked the first one.
You have tons of customization in the container block. Let’s create a coming soon page for aBlocks Pro.
Add a Heading Block
Your heading is the big, welcoming message. Go for something short and exciting like “aBlocks Pro is Releasing Soon”.

You can personalize the styles by making the font size big and bold, and aligning it to mid to set a pace.

I have changed the font family to “Roboto,” as it is used in the website.
Drop in a Paragraph Block
Use a paragraph to give visitors a bit more context. Tell them what’s coming or why they should be excited. Keep it friendly, like a quick, inviting chat.

For example, I’ve added: “Get ready for the upcoming release of aBlocks Pro, packed with advanced features and customization. Crafted to elevate your design experience.”
Add a Countdown Block
This is where the excitement builds! A countdown timer keeps visitors engaged and looking forward to the big day.

Now, you can see the visibility of the countdown block is very low due to the background color. So, let’s modify its color. And also, let’s change the separator style and color as well to give it a modern vibe.

Add your launch date, so visitors see the countdown ticking. There’s something thrilling about a timer getting closer to zero, right?
Add Icon Block
Then, I have added an icon block similar to the bell icon we see everywhere. It captures the attraction of the audiences.

I also added an animated setting. So, now the bell gives me a nice shaking animation. You can enable the animation from the advanced tab.

Create CTA Buttons
Encourage visitors to get notification by adding a CTA button with a call-to-action text like “Notify Me!”

aBlocks have a Dual Button block, so you can quickly and easily add multiple buttons that serve your requirements.
You can also add the social share blocks, if you already have social platforms. It’s quite easy to use. Simply add the block, select your desired socials, add links and you’re basically done!
Step 4: Preview Your Page
Before you make it live, hit Preview to see how your page looks. Check it out on both desktop and mobile to ensure it’s responsive and flows well on any device.

Step 5: Make It Live!
Happy with your Coming Soon page? Time to share it with the world!

Click Publish to go live.
Note: If your website is not ready yet, aBlocks also gives an easier solution for you. Head over to aBlocks settings > Site visibility and set it as your coming soon page so everyone sees it when they visit your site.

Here’s what users will see when they visit, if you enable the coming soon mode:

Wrapping Up
And there you go! With just a few blocks, you’ve built a Coming Soon page that’s both functional and visually inviting. Not only does it set the stage for what’s to come, but it also starts building a connection with your audience before you’ve even launched.
